Lupin launches testosterone solution in the US

Pharma major Lupin said it has launched a testosterone topical solution in the US for males suffering from the deficiency of the hormone.

Lupin’s Testosterone Topical Solution is the generic equivalent of Eli Lilly and Company’s Axiron solution,

Testosterone Topical Solution, 30 mg per actuation had annual sales of approximately $179 million in the US, the company said.

The solution is indicated for replacement therapy in males for conditions associated with a deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone.

Testosterone, produced by the testicles, is the male hormone in human beings.

It is responsible for giving males their characteristic features, such as hair on their face and chest, and also gives them a strong sex drive.

Those suffering from a deficiency in this hormone can show many symptoms, including depression, an overall physical weakness and low sex drive.
