SpiceJet starts flights to Patna from Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai & Kolkata

SpiceJet, the airline that offers one of the most cost-effective set of fares in India, said it was starting daily flights to Patna from several cities in India, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Kolkata.

On Tuesday, the Bangalore flight will be replaced by a Chennai-Patna service.

“We are extremely proud to induct Patna, an emerging hub, owing to its rich cultural heritage and attractive catchment area catering to the interests of both tourist and business travellers. Our extensive schedule for the city will offer great synergies for eastern India while connecting it to the other key cities across the country,” said Ajay Singh, chairman and managing director, SpiceJet.

“This is the first time that the airline will be serving the destination with both direct and onward connections. With this new sector, the airline will now cover 41 destinations across India. Tickets for sale are now open,” the airline said.

The flights will start on July 1.

Patna, besides being the capital of Bihar, is also the gateway to other tourist hotspots such as Vaishali, Rajgir, Nalanda, Bodh Gaya among others.
