Bharti Airtel completes pan-India 4G with Assam; offers 10 GB for Rs 249

Bharti Airtel launche its 4G services in Assam, starting with Dibrugarh and Tinsukia.

“With this, customers in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia can now enjoy high speed mobile broadband on Airtel 4G and get on to the digital superhighway to enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images,” the company said.

The company said it was introducing a new 4G offer for prepaid customers with 10 GB 4G data for just Rs 249 with any new 4G handset.

“With Rs 249 recharge, 1 GB data will be instantly credited to the customer’s account and the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by the customer through My Airtel app. Users can avail a maximum of 3 recharges within 90 days, on the offer.”

Assam was the only state in which Airtel was yet to launch services and with the launch, the LTE service from the company is now available across all 22 circles.

The service is being rolled out in Assam using TD LTE in 2300 MHz high-capacity band.

The company will also deploy state-of-the-art FD LTE technology in 1800 MHz band in the coming weeks to offer a superior mobile broadband experience to the customers, it said.

The company launched India’s first 4G network in Kolkata in April 2012, followed soon by Bangalore.

In November 2015, Airtel commenced the implementation of its network transformation program – Project Leap. With a national investment of INR 60,000 Crores over the next three years, Airtel’s “Project Leap” is aimed at perceptibly improving its network quality and delivering the best customer experience.
