Retail chain V-Mart announced the opening of two new stores, one each in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, taking its total tally to 218.
With this, V-Mart has its operations in 172 cities across 17 states in the country. The retailer has 13 stores in West Bengal and 86 stores in Uttar Pradesh.
The company offers products across three verticals- apparels, general merchandise products and kirana bazaar products.
The general merchandise products include footwear, home furnishing, kitchenware, toys and games, bags and luggage, whereas, kirana bazaar products include packaged food items and beauty products.
V-Mart has stores in Chandigarh, Haryana, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, New Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
In December 2018, V-Mart had launched its 200th store in Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh.
The company added 100 stores in the last three years, considering the fact that it took 12 years to launch the first 100 since its establishment in 2002.
V-Mart’s total income in FY 2018 was at Rs 1,226 crore.
