Karnataka Bank to distribute Bharti Axa products

Mangalore-headquartered Karnataka Bank on Tuesday said it has agreed to distribute insurance products from Bharti Axa General Insurance Ltd.

The private sector bank will provide a wide range of life insurance products of Bharti Axa Insurance to its customers across all its 836 branches.

“The partnership is an important part of our growth strategy, which requires a robust distribution network, and this will be possible as Karnataka Bank is having its existence at every nook and corner of the country”, said Sam Ghosh, Managing Director, Financial Service-Bharti Enterprises Ltd.

This is the third tie-up by the Karnataka Bank after PNB MetLife Life Insurance Co. Ltd and LIC.

Bharti Axa General Insurance Company Ltd. is a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and AXA Group. The company offers general insurance products to retail and commercial clients.

First incorporated in 1924, Karnataka Bank Limited today has a network of 838 branches, 1374 ATMs and 300 e-lobbies/mini e-lobbies across 22 states and 2 union territories. Karnataka bank has been providing life insurance products to its customers for the past 16 years.
