L&T reports new construction orders worth over Rs 2,500 crore

Infrastructure major Larsen and Toubro (L&T) reported new construction orders from Telangana, Jharkhand, New Delhi and the Gulf, worth between Rs 2,500 cr and 5,000 cr in all.

The company secured a campus development order of IIT Hyderabad Package,which includes the construction of buildings such as a Sports and Cultural Complex, Research Centre Complex, Knowledge Centre with hyperbolic paraboloid shell roof and so on. It will be completed in 3 years.

The engineering and construction company also bagged another order from an Indian Real Estate development firm for the construction of “Asset 13 project” at Aerocity, New Delhi. The project involves construction of a top-rated hotel building, an office complex, an international conference and business centre as well as multi-level car parking spaces. L&T will complete the order in 22.5 months.

The firm also secured an order from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited for the construction an ash handling plant, which will later be installed at the Patratu Thermal Power Plant in Jharkhand. The ash handling plant is first of its kind dry bottom ash handling system that is completely environment friendly in terms of 100% ash utilization and water consumption, the company said.

The company also secured orders in various products segments and add-ons from ongoing jobs in both domestic and Gulf region.
L&T has also bagged an order from the Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) for the Central Square underground space development. The scope includes construction of diaphragm walls and three basements.
