Screenwriter Kriti Kapoor, who has served as assistant director on films like ‘Airlift’, ‘2 States’, and ‘Blood Money’, is making her directorial debut with the film ‘Sorry Not Sorry’.
The upcoming comedy-drama produced by Mohaan Nadaar’s Teamo Productions revolves around a small-town girl who gets caught up in the world of social media fame and scrutiny after moving to London.
‘Sorry Not Sorry’ stars newcomer Shreya Dhanwantry in the lead role of a spirited girl from Birmingham who concocts a web of lies to break free from her family’s conventional values.
As she embraces her newfound freedom in London, her escapades capture viral social media attention, propelling her into online celebrity status.
At the film’s announcement event, Kapoor expressed excitement about bringing this story to life. “It brings me immense pleasure and confidence to be associated with a producer like Mohaan Nadaar who has decided to back this film. To find a producer who trusts the creatives and supports a project like he does is indeed rare,” she said.
