SpiceJet offers Chennai-Bankok return flight at 9,999

spicejetSpiceJet, India’s most headline-grabbing airline, has launched its Chennai-Bangkok flights with an offer of Rs 9,999 for a return flight to the Thai capital.

This is currently the cheapest price available on the sector. Bangkok is a big destination for tourists from India.

A couple of years ago, AirAsia had offered return flights from Chennai to Bangkok at just Rs 6,666 as a promotional offer.

The new SpiceJet flight is called SG 95 and 95 and departs at 10 in the night to arrive at 3 AM, Thai time.

Return is at 4 AM local time and arrives in Chennai at 6 AM.

This will be SpiceJet’s second direct international flight from Chennai.

The ticket can also be booked from Thailand at 5400 baht (Bangkok-Chennai-Bangkok).

This is “our second international flight to Bangkok, our first Bangkok flight started from Kolkata last year and had an excellent market response,” said Shilpa Bhatia, Senior VP and Head of Sales & Distribution, SpiceJet Ltd.

“We strongly believe that there is a tremendous potential in the southern markets too and this flight will help us to connect passengers form rest of India to Bangkok via Chennai”.

SpiceJet will be operating to Bangkok’s state-of-the-art Suvarnabhumi airport from Chennai, from where numerous onward domestic and international connections are available.

The airline will deploy Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft on this route. Booking can be made on the company’s website, Mobile app or through online travel portals and agents.
